PBIS

Hello All,

Here are few important updates as we near the end of the semester:

  • Dojo Points- The next  Dojo Point check are done the day before PBIS celebrations will be done by January 2.  Remember our goal is 300 points per teacher.
  • Bear Paws: The PBIS team will hang up the December Cafeteria PAWS chart outside your door AND count ALL PAWS that you have posted.  The class with the most PAWS wins a treat.  We will count by the end of day Wednesday and you can expect the treat either Thursday or Friday.
  • PBIS Meeting: The next PBIS meeting is Monday at 2:45. We will be discussing preparations for next semester, especially how it relates to the new layout in the cafeteria.  If there are concerns or questions, please reply to this email and/or share with your PBIS grade level rep.

The premise of PBIS is that continual teaching, combined with acknowledgement or feedback of positive student behavior will reduce unnecessary discipline and promote a climate of greater productivity, safety and learning. PBIS schools apply a multi-tiered approach to prevention, using disciplinary data and principles of behavior analysis to develop school-wide, targeted and individualized interventions and supports to improve school climate for all students.
